Solos For Voice

For each performance of Where Are We Going? And What Are We Doing? I choose a number of Solos for Voice from John Cage's Song Books and perform them at randomly established points of the show. Sometimes more tham one solo has to be performed simultaneously. The chosen solos vary from one performance to the other but I try to keep the balance between Song, Song With Electronics, Theatrical Action, and Theatre with Electronics.

 

I always sing some of my music as well - a new piece or an old one, like one or two Speech sections from my piece ...Party - as well as vocal music by a 3rd composer (Christopher Bochmann, Georges Aperghis, Roger Marsh, Giacinto Scelsi and others).
